GRADING SYSTEM

1. The assessment of students' academic performance for each course must be based on the evaluation of the process (partial grades given by the course instructor during the course) and the summary evaluation (final exam grade), ensuring compliance with the requirements of the national framework and detailed curriculum of each course.

2. The process evaluation grade is determined by the course instructor through one or more of the following methods: tests, progress reports, attendance assessments, and participation attitudes. The choice of one or more of these methods for evaluation is determined by the instructor and specified in the detailed course outline. For exams, the course instructor prepares the exam, organizes it, and grades it.

3. The final exam for a course is conducted at the end of each semester or after the completion of the course. This form is mandatory for courses with semester, academic year, or cumulative average grading. Each course is evaluated based on two component scores.

4. The component scores are assessed on a scale of 10. The assessment method and form for each component score are specified in the detailed course outline. The weighting of the component scores for each course and the scores for thesis defense and project defense are regulated in this Regulation and the detailed curriculum of each course.

Conducting End-of-Term Examinations

- The schedule for final exams is stipulated in the academic calendar and is communicated to students by the training management unit before the start of the course.

- Any adjustments to the final exam schedule must be notified to students no later than 2 (two) days before the exam.

- The final exam schedule for courses with semester, academic year, or cumulative average grading is prepared and implemented by the Examination and Implementation Center based on the class schedule provided by the training management unit.

- Students who are absent without a justifiable reason during the final exam must receive a score of 0 (zero) for the second component of that course. In cases with a justifiable reason, the student must submit a request for a deferred exam along with supporting documents to the Postgraduate Training Department.

- The decision to respond to the student's request will be made within 5 working days from the date of receiving the request. If a student wishes to register for a deferred exam for a course, they must independently review information about the deferred exam based on the published exam schedule on the university's website and submit the application to the Postgraduate Training Department no later than 7 (seven) working days before the scheduled exam date for that course. Within a period not exceeding 2 (two) working days from the date of receiving the student's application, the head of the training management unit must announce the results of the registration for the deferred exam for the student.
